Who

What we collect
When you order: your name, delivery address, email, phone and order details. If you accepted analytics cookies, your order also records how you reached the site, the page you arrived on, how many pages you viewed, and your device type and browser. Payment details go directly to Stripe; we never see your card number. When you enquire or subscribe: your name, email and message.
Condition records
When you confirm how a painting arrived, we record the date and time, your IP address and your browser, as evidence of your answer. If you cancel and send us photographs and film of the painting being packed, we use them only to check the painting’s condition and to deal with the courier. They stay on our server until we have saved them, and are then kept in the studio’s records for six years after the return is settled – the time in which a claim about the sale could still be brought – and then deleted.
Why
To fulfil your order and our contract with you; to answer your enquiries (our legitimate interest); to tell existing customers about new work unless you untick the box at checkout (the “soft opt-in”), and to send the studio list to everyone else only with your consent – withdraw either at any time from any email.
Who else
Stripe (payments), our courier (delivery), our email provider (newsletter), and our web host. Order records are kept for six years for tax purposes.
Cookies
This site sets strictly necessary cookies (basket, checkout, security). Google Analytics, and the shop’s note of how you reached the site, run only if you accept them in the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. No advertising cookies are set.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Contact us, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
