I was born in Ukraine and have loved drawing and creating art since childhood. I went on to receive a higher education in fine arts, but for many years, art remained something deeply personal rather than my profession.
Everything changed when the war in Ukraine forced me to move to the United Kingdom. During this new and difficult chapter of my life, I returned to painting – this time with a desire to express emotions that could not always be put into words.
I mainly work with acrylics, creating paintings in my own distinctive technique – a fusion of realism and abstraction. I am interested not only in how a person looks, but in what they feel: a moment, a memory, a sensation, or a quiet emotion.
My paintings are about people who know how to notice and enjoy the simple pleasures of life – sunlight on the skin, a moment of peace, warmth, freedom, or simply being present in the moment.
My first painting was inspired by exactly this feeling: a woman lying in the shade of a window, quietly enjoying the warmth of the sunlight falling across her body. It was a simple moment, but for me, it represented something much deeper – the beauty of being able to stop, breathe, and appreciate life.
Through my art, I want to capture these fleeting moments and transform emotions into something that can be seen, felt, and remembered.
